EggSpace is a popular meeting place at the heart of Liverpool's culture. It boasts one of the most panoramic views of the city and is a unique fusion of an independent gallery space and cafe, with a relaxed and bohemian atmosphere.
Currently, EggSpace exhibitions are voluntarily organised by HeadSpace, a collective of artists and curators that includes: Carolyn Sinclair; Karen Henley; Jazamin Sinclair.
Over the years the space has attracted many artists and curators including Peter Dannials, Chris Gjertsen, Tony Knox, Gaynor Evelyn Sweeney and George Lund.
Under the team of Knox, Sweeney and Lund, The Egg Cafe and Eggspace Gallery took on a more prominent role in the British underground art scene.
EggSpace was originally founded as the Acorn Gallery in 1984, by Janine Pinion. EggSpace was also formerly known as The Garden. Please click on the link for more information.
The EggSpace policy is to provide a platform for all emerging artists and art groups. If you are interested in exhibiting at EggSpace, please contact HeadSpace with your proposals on: headspace@eggspace.org.
N.B. We are currently fully booked for shows until 2009, but we can let you know about cancellations within shows planned or forthcoming open exhibitions that you may be part of. Please contact us for more details.
